II Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum

II Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum held on 15-21 May 2016 during VIII International Economic Summit of Russia and OIC countries (KAZANSUMMIT-2016) is a part of the Action Plan of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia – Islamic World”.  

The forum is founded and organised by the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYF – DC) and the government of the Republic of Tatarstan. The events operator is Youth Public Foundation of the Republic of Tatarstan “Selet” supported by the Government Autonomous Agency “Technopark in the sphere of high technologies “IT-park”. A great educational unit will be provided for participants during the forum on the territory of IT-park in Kazan: workshops on the development of IT-startup and on the presentation of their projects to investors, preparation for investment session.

The programme of the events is aimed at searching and supporting participants’ the most fascinating projects, establishing the business-contacts of Russia and international business-community in order to increase investment attractiveness of the Republic of Tatarstan as well as to raise the real investment to the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation. Thus, the best projects of the Forum will be presented at the final invest session “START-UP EXPO” on 20 May 2016 during KAZANSUMMIT with the contribution of the investors from the OIC countries and the Russian Federation.

The participants of the Camp are 100 authors of the IT start-ups in the age range of 18 to 35 from 35 Islamic countries and representatives of the business-communities of the Russian Federation who are competitively selected. The application process is open until 4 April 2016 on  www.oicyouthforum.tatar.

At the present time, as a part of the Camp and Forum preparation, “Russia-Islamic World” discussion club is formed based on “Selet” House. The discussion club holds workshops and meetings with experts to discuss latest international issues and to involve active youth in alternative decision making on ongoing issues of today’s world.
