Participants: schoolchildren of grades 8-11

Since 2009, “Selet-Sanak” intellectual session is held at the “Zvezdnyj” children’s recreation centre. During this session, the children study Computer Science and learn to work with programs in the field of design, programming, journalism and others. As a result, the participants can fulfil their potential, increase their level of knowledge and open new perspectives for self-development. The session programme also includes the personality development training of the participants, namely various workshops on creativity, choosing the direction of development, increasing communicative skills, developing leadership and team working skills. This project has been carried out since 2009, and it has had about 2,000 participants who showed excellent results during their entrance examinations to higher education institutions for technical majors.

The aim of the project is to support the children and youth who are interested in computer science.

“Selet-Sanak” mainly allows fulfilling two priority tasks:

- identifying and developing the gifted children, with the prospect of forming an intellectual elite in the scientific research centres of the Republic of Tatarstan;

- helping the schoolchildren from cities and districts of the Republic of Tatarstan to receive affordable and essential education in the sphere of computer science and modern learning technologies.
